Sure. I don't think any of this is particularly secret, aside from wanting to avoid making promises we end up not keeping. Here's how I'd like to play things: - in a month or so, mpich2-1.0.5 will be released, marking the beginning of another 6 month dev cycle. - Very early in that cycle, I'll commit Avery's dtype I/O. Strided will use listio by default just because that's a pretty well tested code path in the PVFS system interface.
