Hi Mark,
From a MySQL or any DB point-of-view, we should be operating correctly
(obeying fsync etc). If that does not work correctly, you should let
us know. I doubt if anyone has tried it or reported it on the list. I
could be wrong though.

The biggest problem though may be
- lack of redundancy when a server/disk fails
- snapshot-based backups for MySQL tables.
- Support for file locking..
In fact the last point may cause distributed MySQL to not work. I
dunno. Never tried.
In any case, if you decide to go ahead, it would be great if you could
share your experience of how it went :)
