Weird.. I am pretty sure these paths have been tested well before..
Even if the client dies, we do not unload the module.
All the retry logic in the module was to handle client restarts etc..
must be some recent regressions I think..
It would be great if we can track this down. This is after your cleanups to
the way kmod handles retries etc, right?
yep, it does look like we don't free all the kmem cache objects
causing the destroy/subsequent create to oops.

Right.  Its not reproducible every time, but it seems to happen after
the fs has been mounted for a while, the module gets unloaded, and on
reload it oopses.  No errors in dmesg on the unload -- I think the
pvfs2-client may be dying, which is why the module is getting
unloaded in the first place.  I guess I'm wondering if the cleanup
path on the unload is somehow skipping the kmem_cache_destroy calls...
