I've made a quick test, and I've played around with a "defrag" script
to redistribute evenly data blocks when adding nodes (basically, a
script that pvfs-cp a file to a temporary name, then move it back in
place). It worked pretty well, though this is probably not something
you'd like to do on live data, because it can (will?) cause problems
with open files.
