After some discussion we are reverting to the major.minor.sub version scheme and incrementing the sub-version for every OrangeFS release. For the last couple of releases we had appended the release date to the version string since the releases were largely comprised of bug fixes. However, for simplicity and clarity we are going back to the three point version string.
So, we are proud to re-release 2.8.3-20110323 as 2.8.4. There are no additional features or bug fixes between the two releases. This release is also unofficially known as the "Same As It Ever Was" release. You can get it from http://www.orangefs.org/download/ Enjoy, Michael
