We just released OrangeFS 2.8.8, so getting that tarball from OrangeFS.org
and following the instructions at
http://www.omnibond.com/orangefs/docs/v_2_8_8/index.htm might help.

Victor,

This sounds like a problem I have seen when there were remnants of a
different PVFS2/OrangeFS installation still running. Check both servers to
make sure no processes named pvfs* (e.g., pvfs2-server, pvfs2-client,
pvfs2-client-core) are hanging around from the past. Note that you may think
you have started pvfs2-server when in reality an old process by that name
and already using the designated port may be mucking up the works.

Hope that helps,

Elaine

Hey Guys,

I'm new on PVFS2 and i try to install on CentOS 6.4, but appeared some
mistakes and wanted help from you. I used the follow tutorial :

http://www.omnibond.com/orangefs/docs/v_2_8_5/Build_OrangeFS.htm

All fine, 2 servers, but when i start with :

/opt/orangefs/sbin/pvfs2-server -d -a fs1 /opt/orangefs/etc/orangefs-
server.conf

where "fs1" is the name of the host, i receive the error
