Are you running mythtv? If so, do you get any logs from mythbackend?I've had certain problems with stuckness (detailed in the archives). I've been running a bleeding edge driver with lots of logging messages sprinkledin, but it hasn't failed for a few months now.
The only messages I see in mythbackend's logs are ones like this:MPEGRec(/dev/pvrusb2) Error: select timeout - ivtv driver has stopped responding
I get those when mythbackend tries to record something from the pvrusb2 when it's dead.
