This is another item that really has nothing to do with the driver. I'll bet that the MythTV wiki talks about this. But since I'm already posting a reply: You're talking about in-band program data which is not nearly as rich as you'll get from schedulesdirect.org. The in-band stuff is generally only at most 24 hours in advance; with scheduledirect MythTV will pull in data going out 2 weeks. Also in-band is very terse while schedulesdirect gives you a feed into all of the TMS program synopses. It's WELL worth the $20/year. Oh, if you do want to do in-band data, it should work fine with the HVR-1950. Unlike analog broadcasts where such text content would be in the VBI data (which the driver doesn't support), for ATSC reception all captioning, program info, etc are just data packets in the ATSC byte stream. The pvrusb2 driver just facilitates pulling down the byte stream; the actual content is irrelevant to the driver. So receiving in-band program data should work. Now go search google to see what people say about schedulesdirect.org. -Mike -- Mike Isely isely @ isely (dot) net PGP: 03 54 43 4D 75 E5 CC 92 71 16 01 E2 B5 F5 C1 E8 _______________________________________________ pvrusb2 mailing list [email protected] http://www.isely.net/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/pvrusb2
