Using stock kernel 2.6.28.10, the older 24xxx model indeed works fine with 640. However, the current v4l-dvb snapshot does NOT work, even for 24xxx devices. I verified that the VBI initialization hack is still in the driver, however it appears not to be having the desired effect anymore in v4l-dvb. Still chasing more leads....
