Friedhelm: The video pipeline on the analog side of the HVR-1950 is functionally identical to the old PVR-USB2 device. There's a different tuner chip being used (because it has to support ATSC mode) but I think odds are fairly good that you could make it work in PAL mode.
The pvrusb2 driver certainly won't discriminate against your choice of device :-) -Mike On Sat, 15 May 2010, friedhelm serwane wrote: > Because I want to use dgital cable (dvb-c/Clear QAM), not an antenna > signal (dvb-t) > Second reason, the hvr 1950 works. > So is there a way to switch fron ntsc to pal standard via the linux > driver or do I need different hardware? > > Thanks > > Friedhelm > > Ivan Kelly schrieb: > > Why not get the hvr1900, which is PAL/DVB-t from the outset. > > > > Except of course that it doesn't work, at least for me. > > > > -Ivan > > > > On Thu, May 06, 2010 at 08:03:06AM +0200, friedhelm serwane wrote: > > > >> Hello, > >> I really liked the old wintv pvrusb2 analog box.
