Hi Mike!

Thank you for your response.

As I was able to compile your driver again, I'm currently happy. I'm looking forward to your new snapshot and to the release of 2.9.39 (although it will take around a month until my distro provides it in its package manager...)

Sven

Hi Sven,

Sorry about the hassle with compiling the standalone driver. I will get
a new snapshot released this weekend which should support 2.6.38
correctly. I just looked through my svn change history and I had
already merged in changes to remove V4L1 support in preparation for this
- and then forgot to release it. (The removal would only be active if
the kernel is recent enough so when built against older kernels V4L1
support would still be there. And the change for this is really pretty
tiny since the V4L1 aspects were isolated long ago.) There's actually a
small collection of changes ready to be released and I think the reason
I didn't release it right away is because I wanted to make sure it first
got accepted upstream (which it did).

I'll get a new snapshot out this weekend.

Hello Mike!

I have a new problem now. It's not related to the AV400 directly, but
seems to be a more general problem. My current kernel (2.6.38) does not
seem to include the V4L1 header (linux/videodev.h) anymore, so
pvrusb2-i2c-cmd-v4l1.c won't compile (I'm using the snapshot from
January).

So it seems you need to adjust your snapshot again for newer kernels as
the "kernel-next" repository doesn't contain it either...

Sven

PS: I'll try to adjust it for me locally in the meantime.

And "v4l_compat_translate_ioctl" used in pvrusb2-v4l2.c doesn't exist
either anymore.

Ok, I got it to compile (and run) for me again (puh ^^).

For my second mail I applied the change I found in linux-next:
http://git.kernel.org/?p=linux/kernel/git/next/linux-next.git;a=commitdiff;h=08af245de0cf6ab5f4ed008ee2bb99273774fce0#patch11
