I plan on some testing later on today (currently building a small pile of new kernel versions) and hopefully should have more answers soon.

Are you running something to change the permissions on /dev/video0 after the fact? It would be much better in that case to set up a udev rule so it's correct "the first time", or ensure that the mythtv user is a member of the group associated with /dev/video0. > Shouldn't mythbackend recheck the tuner on restart? It's been a while since I've had to fix things in this driver, but I plan additional investigation hopefully later today. The pvrusb2 driver itself hasn't had any substantial changes in quite a while. However it's operating in a video4linux environment that is a moving target. There's always a concern that a surrounding change might break the driver. That's the sort of thing I will be looking at. -Mike -- Mike Isely isely @ isely (dot) net PGP: 03 54 43 4D 75 E5 CC 92 71 16 01 E2 B5 F5 C1 E8 _______________________________________________ pvrusb2 mailing list [email protected] http://www.isely.net/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/pvrusb2
