Call for Faculty Positions

We are seeking to fill *three tenure-track faculty positions* at the
Escuela de Ingeniería Informática at Pontificia Universidad Católica
de Valparaíso (PUCV), Valparaíso, Chile. Candidates must hold a PhD in
Computer Sciences (or related fields) or have defended
their doctoral thesis by October 1st, 2025. Preferred research areas
include, but are not limited to:

• Software Engineering
• Human-Computer Interaction
• Cybersecurity
• Data Science
• Artificial Intelligence
• Optimisation

We seek dynamic colleagues who will make positive contributions to the
Department's teaching, research, and service efforts.
Candidates with published articles in ISI WoS-indexed journals are highly
preferred. Applications are particularly welcome from
those willing to commit to the spirit of the Department and the
University's aspirations towards equality, diversity, and inclusivity.
Thus, we encourage applications from women and foreign candidates. The
salary is commensurate with the candidate's experience
and qualifications. The offered salary will be competitive internationally
and complemented with research incentives and access to
support funds.

The PUCV is currently ranked among the top 30 universities in Latin America
and among the top five Universities in Chile. The
Escuela de Ingeniería Informática offers three undergraduate programs
(Ingeniería Civil Informática, Ingeniería Civil en Ciencia de
Datos, and Ingeniería en Informática) as well as two postgraduate programs
(Master in Informatics Engineering and PhD
in Informatics Engineering). The PUCV is situated at the heart of the
Valparaíso metropolitan area, which was designated a UNESCO
World Heritage Site. The cities of Valparaíso and Viña del Mar stand out
for their quality of life and their diverse tourist attractions.

• Publication list indicating whether each paper is WoS indexed and its
current status (under review/accepted/published).
• List the research projects the candidate has participated in as the
principal researcher (or equivalent).
