Hi,

just a follow up on my previously sent email. I've tried to see how ComputerAge would
fare with the Squeak 27. At first this seemed to work: instead of crashing, I got a
popup stating that there was a timeout on a Socket( send data timeout; data not
sent). Somewhat annoying but at least it still worked. However after installing it,
with the same 2.7image, the same thing happened.

regards,

rob

Subject: [pws] crashing squeak with ComputerAge
Classification: Restricted
Hi,

in our project we have started using ComputerAge with lots of enthousiasm. However, we
have encountered a feature which resulted in the crash of squeak and the loss of some
data on one of the pages.

Problem: When accessing an uploaded powerpoint file (blabla.ppt) using netscape,
netscape opens an open/save dialog box instead of offering the possibility to open the
file with powerpoint (it looks like the wrong MIME type is sent). If you choose cancel
instead of save, nothing happens, but squeak crashes! This does not happen in Internet
Explorer nor in Scamper. Also the page where the document was referenced is mangled.
However this probably because it was the last page changed.

Any ideas how to fix this.

Environment:

- Squeak 2.6 VM with ComputerAge on Linux 2.2.10 (SUSE)
- Clients: Windows NT with Nescape 4.5 and 4.7, LINUX 4.61
