Hi N--

I think the problem may be that you are trying to change this by editing the
page throught the swiki web interface. Instead you have to make this change in
the default color scheme files.

What color scheme are you using? If, for example, you like the structure and
icons for "aqua" but would like to change it's backgound color to green, go to
the "aqua" directory in your local file system (on my Linux machine this is
/opt/ComSwiki/swiki/default/files/aqua; on a Wintel machine it may be
C:\ComSwiki\swiki\default\files\aqua; on a Mac it may be
HARDDRIVEopt/ComSwiki/swiki/default/files/aqua) and edit the colorScheme.sm
file. You will see this text:

bgcolor="#ffffff" text="#000000" link="#0000cc" alink="#ff0000" vlink="#551a8b"
background="<?toFiles?>background.gif" leftmargin=8 topmargin=8

Change any setting that you would like and save.

I believe this is also possible through the swiki browser that is available
through Squeak; as a veteran web developer but Sqeak newbie, I am more
comfortable editing text files.

If you want to make more extensive changes or create a color scheme of your own,
I suggest that you select an existing color scheme whose basic structure you
like and make a duplicate copy. You can then edit each of the components (images
and HTML) in this new scheme to suit your own tastes, desires, or brands.

Best of luck,

J
