Hi,
I am running a couple of Swiki's on computing related topics. I have just
upgraded to ComSwiki 1.1 and notice that there is now a bug with the upload
files feature.
The sequence of events is:
1) Select upload icon
2) browse to file (I tried with files on local and networked drives)
3) select upload (Any combination of local to page and add link makes no
difference)
4) Browser responds with a "The page cannot be displayed" error
5) The file has not been uploaded; but I noticed that if a 'local to page'
upload was attempted, to a page that did not previously have any page
specific uploads, then the new directory has been created.
Checking the log reveals the following three relevant entries:
172.16.64.31 - - [18/Jul/2001:08:49:10 -0400] /egif/7 ok 7140
Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.5; Windows 98)
172.16.64.31 - - [18/Jul/2001:08:49:11 -0400] /egif/7.upload ok
11065 Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.5; Windows 98)
172.16.64.31 - - [18/Jul/2001:08:49:17 -0400] /egif/7.upload ok
11065 Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.5; Windows 98)
There is no error on the server (Squeak side) that I can see.
The server is running on a Win2000 box. The upload client is Win 98 using
IE5.5, (I also tried Opera and Mozilla).
The directory that uploaded files go into is:
G:\Application Services\DBA, Notes &
Int-net\Java2\wiki\ComSwiki\swiki\egif\uploads
The server is runing the squeak image downloaded from
http://minnow.cc.gatech.edu/swiki/10
which has attributes 7,876,760 dated 05/07/2001 at 12:16
I belive this is Comswiki 1.1.
This Swiki has some security set up, but the same behaviour was observed on
another 'open to all-comers' swiki.
Please could anyone help out?
Regards
Chris
