My fairly-high proficiency in perl was outweighing my so-so prociciency in Smalltalk, especially for text file manipulation. But I ended up using Squeak, and even though my analyses are taking a tad longer (mostly figuring out how to parse text files in Squeak), I'm having a lot more fun. :) Thanks, -Eric
