I don't know if they are bugs, but some weird things seem to be
happening with Harvest that didn't seem to happen with its predecessor
(Comanche 4.10 / Swiki 1.1). My swiki is 'manual' and it is a 'docs'
swiki that I am using just here on my home network to try to generate
some html documentation for an application.
I've tried both the bundled Harvest with 3.1 image and also loading the
change set into a 3.2a-4599 image with apparently no difference. The
Swiki is running on 'bed' (W2K (SP2, I think) with 256MB) on port 80.
The first thing I noticed when connecting to it from MSIE 5.00.3315.1000
on the same machine ('bed') was that I would get an error after editing
a page and clicking 'save' (page not found, I think), although the page
was saved and backing up and refreshing did show the changes. At the
time of the error, the MSIE url address showed, e.g.
http://localhost/manual/40.save
Whereas if I edited the address to just .../manual/40 it would show the
page as expected. I'm guessing that the 40.save url was proper and
caused the edits to be saved but that something else caused the next url
not to be correct? This seemed to happen everytime, not just once.
Something similar would happen after putting in a *link*, saving (and
backing up and refreshing) when I click on the 'create' button -- some
error but if I back up and refresh, it works.
Ok, all that was running the swiki and the browser on the same W2K
machine. Next I tried running just the swiki on 'bed' but running the
browser on 'liv' (W98SE with 32MB). There, with MSIE 5.00.2614.3500 the
saves seemed to work fine, i.e. no left over ...manual/40.save when it
should have been just ...manual/40.
The worse problem that happened whether running the browser on 'bed' or
'liv' was when creating a new link (e.g. *How to XX*) and creating it I
would *not* get the expected page with a title field and a single
multi-line editing field

and if I clicked 'edit', I would get a form with multiple multi-line
fields, one for each of the above topics.
I think I created a few new pages normally before this kicked in. I
don't know if something did I triggered a different template (or
activated a Comanche application which should have stayed dormant) or if
it has something to do with higher page numbers. It didn't seem to
happen until page 43 or so.
I didn't start 'manual' from scratch within Harvest but just copied the
'manual' directory from the older swiki directory.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
