Hi,
Thanks for getting back to me.

I tried the approach outlined. I waited for a couple of
minutes for timeout on the name service, but nothing appeared to happen. Is
there a log I can check for this ?
Checking the nt event service logs gives no clues...
I also checked the squeak console, and the tree under the swiki for recent
(log) files, but nothing obvious showed up.
As you predicted, the versions/history page has user "unknown".
B.T.W the only configured user is admin.

Are there any settings that I can make to help with diagnostics ?

Regards,
Shane.

Actually, Windows NT should be OK as a server.

It seems like what is happening is that the server is having a hard time
getting the name from the IP address. Perhaps your name server is down or
something? If that is the case, then it could be that you have to wait
for a while for the page semaphore to clear. It should clear after about
15 seconds when NetNameResolver should quit trying to look this up.

It could be that for some unknown reason NetNameResolver on NT generates
an error on your system. That would be a VM-level bug.

Could you repeat this procedure and go to the versions/history page and
see if it has something besides "unknown" as the user?

Peace and Luck!
