Who is using the Cocoa VM <http://www.metaobject.com/Community.html> for swiki's on OS X? Do you have comments or problems concerning this setup?
thanks,
I didn't even know this existed until just now, but since I recently took my Swiki machine to Mac OS X, I was intrigued.

I downloaded CocoaSqueak, copied my squeak.image and swiki folder over from my older one, and launched CocoaSqueak with my image by dropping my image on it.

It seems to work fine.

A few things I noticed:

* CocoaSqueak lacks the Quit keyboard shortcut just like Carbon Squeak. Annoying as all get out, and I doubt it will respond to a Quit event either, which makes restarting the machine more work.

* Double-clicking on CocoaSqueak did not automatically open squeak.image in the same folder.

* Double-clicking on squeak.image on my machine opened the Carbon Squeak instead of CocoaSqueak.

* I still can't believe the developers of Swiki didn't call it Sqwiki (pronounced squeaky). :-)

But that's all external to the Swiki stuff.

I guess the question is, what's the advantage of running CocoaSqueak over Carbon Squeak?

cheers... -Adam
