Are you planning to release a new version with this patch soon?
I guess a lot of people is being affected by this.

Subject: [py-transports] Help regarding pyMSNt
Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

Hello

I am running a Jabber Server (Wildfire) where I have installed PyMSNt. I am
able to chat with my MSN contacts. But sometimes I receive some error
messages and pyMSNt disconnects me from MSN Server. The messages are as
follows:

Disconnected from MSN servers: [Failure instance: Traceback (failure with no
frames): twisted.internet.error.ConnectionDone: Connection was closed
cleanly.]

Disconnected from MSN servers: [Failure instance: Traceback (failure with no
frames): exceptions.AttributeError: 'NoneType' object has no attribute
'getAttribute']

frames): exceptions.AttributeError: 'NoneType' object has no attribute

Please help me to solve this issue.

Thanks,

Subject: [py-transports] parseFile in xmlconfig.py
Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

The current version of xmlconfig.py (in trunk and the snapshot) imports
parseFile from domish.  Unfortunately,
parseFile has existed in domish since it's very first appearance in
twisted, but has always been commented out (and still is!). This means
that the current dev snapshot is unusable, no matter what twisted
version we use

I've had to update because of the MSN disconnects, but now I'm left out
in the cold...

Thanks for any help...

I suspect you just need to upgrade twisted-words to at least version
0.3.0 ...

Subject: [py-transports] problem with yahoo-transport
Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

Hi,

I've been having this problem for a long ago.
like two months ago, I tried yahoo-transport-2.3.2. so I got this
----
<iq to="[EMAIL PROTECTED]/Pandion" xml:lang="en" from="yahoo.tjcn-linux"
id="sd19" type="error">
  <query xmlns="jabber:iq:register" xml:lang="en">
  <username>[EMAIL PROTECTED]</username>
  <password>781124</password>
  <nick />
  <key />
  </query>
  <error code="406" type="cancel">
  <not-acceptable xmlns="urn:ietf:params:xml:ns:xmpp-stanzas" />
  <text xmlns="urn:ietf:params:xml:ns:xmpp-stanzas">The recipient or server
understands the request but is refusing to process it because it does not
meet criteria defined by the recipient or server.</text>
  </error>
  </iq>

message, now I tried yahoo-transport-3.0, I still got this old familiar
message.
I tried the transport with wildfire and ejabberd.

what can I do about it? any suggestion will be appreciated.

James

Subject: [py-transports] Jabber transparent to MSN and parameter questions
Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

James et. al,

I have installed the PyMSNt and it is running. I do have a few questions
though.

I'm not *quite* sure what this transports are supposed to do. I have a jabber
server set up and the username i have for myself is
[EMAIL PROTECTED] I had hoped that the transports would allow
msn users to enter [EMAIL PROTECTED] in their msn clients and
contact me. This along with the aim and yahoo transports would reduce my IM
IDs to just one. Is that correct?

Secondly, i'm a little unsure about how the jid and host parameters work. My
jabber server is on jabber.feline-soul.net. Does that mean i want the jid to
be "jabber" and the host to be "feline-soul.net"?

Thank you,

Bearcat M. Sandor
