Who knows (MS do).  It's very possible.

I'd guess that if you have a few invalid log in attempts with the
wrong password, then it probably sets off a red flag at HQ, and then
when they see several thousand connections coming from the same IP
they red-flag the IP.

If this is the case woudnt be MS blocking also NATed connectos, for
example a isp wich does nat for all his users?

One posible solution would be to bind each instance of the transport to
a differnt IP alias on the jabber machine, how can this be done?
