Hi Vishal and others, It seems that you were referring to my second error of being unable to get 0.11.3 to work. So, I did browse around and found that commenting out the automatic poll selection code does indeed stop that error. PyMSNt 0.11.3 now launches and is seemingly communicating with jabberd (service discovery is available), but upon signing in with a pre- existing user, after about 15 seconds, I receive:
"Failed to connect to MSN servers: [Failure instance: Traceback (failure with no frames): <type 'exceptions.Exception'>: Timeout ]" The bizarre thing is that running "tcpdump port 1863" on the server shows nothing. Is this an appropriate way to see if PyMSN is communicating? It seems I have two paths to a solution in front of me. Getting either 0.11.3 to work (discussed above) or finding out the cause of the checkPID error for 0.11.2 Naturally, I'd assume that getting 0.11.3 to work would be the preferred solution. Thanks again. On Jun 2, 10:45 am, Jay D <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Hi Vishal, > > Thank you. Perhaps you could recommend a search phrase, as when I > search 'checkPID', I come up with nothing.
