In the tests I did yesterday with the pyCuda examples the devicequery dump shows that I was short on memory. After a reboot and check that device memory was now ok, I had better luck with those examples where I didn't need to fetch a library yet not installed. However, to me it seems like a good idea to have a simple check on the memory before trying to allocate in the examples and possible inform the user of the reason for a failure. > something's wedged and you need to reboot?
