This shouldn't happen--or rather, the driver should prevent this from happening. AFAIK, GPUs have some memory protection, so CUDA code can't really overwrite display state unless something's seriously wedged. I agree with Ian that you might be having driver or thermal issues. What version of the driver are you using? Can you try and upgrade to the latest-and-greatest? Andreas
