Hi PyCUDA folks:

I've been happily (and productively) using PyCUDA on my Debian
machines for awhile, but I recently purchased a MacBook Pro running
Snow Leopard for cross-platform development.

In looking at the PyCUDA installation wiki and tracking the mailing
list I don't see any mention of using MacPorts to install the
dependencies of PyCUDA (i.e., python, numpy, boost, etc... and not the
CUDA SDK and PyCUDA, itself).

Coming from Debian, I would really like to have some form of
dependency management for my day-to-day activities and would like to
maintain as much as possible with MacPorts.

Has anyone successfully used PyCUDA when python, numpy, and boost are
installed via MacPorts? Has anyone tried? I just figured I'd shoot
off an email to the list before I tried it out. Unless I hear back
from someone declaring it a futile effort, I'll give it a whirl and
report back.

Thanks,
Per
