Hi all

I would like to install PyCuda on OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion, using the
MacPorts python. Unfortunately I haven't been able to work out where to
even start.

I can find instructions for installing using the system Python, and for
using EnthoughtPython, but not for the MacPorts python-2.7, which is what I
use for everything else. I believe it is possible to use the MacPorts
python, since I had this working at some point under OS X 10.6, but it was
too long ago to remember how I went about installing it.

The instructions for installing on 10.8 seem to be only for people who have
upgraded from 10.7. This doesn't include me (although I have migrated all
my files and settings from my old 10.6 machine). Is it even possible to do
a new install on a 10.8 machine that was never running 10.7?

Best regards,
Nathaniel

P.S. By the way, just as an aside, the instructions for installing using
the system python seem to be structured in such a way that one first has to
read and understand how to install it on 10.6, then read the differences
between that and 10.7, then read the differences between that and 10.8.
This is not ideal, since I would guess most people visiting that page will,
like me, just want to install on the most recent OS X. It might be worth
someone's time to re-structure the page so that the 10.8 instructions are
self-contained and at the top.
