first of all, the mentioned-everywhere website
http://fabioz.com/ with all the necessary
"getting started" information is offline...
...please put all necessary information here
into the sourcefourge pages...

I am new to eclipse, so sorry if I am missing some crucial basics.

* installed eclipse 3.3.1.1 "Europa" for C++-development
  (I have now also downloaded the java version, same problem)

* then Help...FindAndInstall...pydev
  from http://pydev.sourceforge.net/updates/

* restarted eclipse

* switched to window...perspective...pydev

so far no problem :-)

* window preferences ...pydev ...interpreter
  (sometimes here get the an error
   "currently displayed page contains invalid values"
    but some clicking around helps :-)

I just do not know what' wrong because the error is not more verbose...

* interpreter ... python ... new
  path to my python.exe (python 2.3.5)
* accept all suggested pythonpath paths

  (beforehand I was using pythonwin)

Now, regardless which way I choose to create a pydev-project
it nevers creates. e.g. the "next Button" doesn't continue
in the tree view, or nothting happens when
e.g. file...new...pydev project

But without a pydev project, I can do nothing else, right?

please help.
It is an absolute beginner problem, but still...

:-) Andreas
