The files actually needed (for pydev) are .project, .pydevproject and your 
source
files. Other plugins may have other files...

Aso, just as a note, you can use a different subversion client without any other
problems as far as I know (I know I end up using subversive and the command
line at different times a lot and there are no conflicts when using them mixed
-- provided that they're at the same client version).
