I'm using raw PyDev, without PyDev Extensions, with completely clean pristine Eclipse installation. _Every_ new editor (not just the first one) is slow. And for a few seconds when I try to open a file, the new editor's tab is named 'PyDev Editor'. I've tried to turn off analysis and code folding but it doesn't seem to have any effect. And it's slow even on 'hello world' project. The operating system I use is Linux, and CPU load is negligible when Eclipse is running. There's also a lot of free memory (-Xmx is 512M) and no disk activity at all. Other project types (C++ and Java) work normally. Apart from this issue PyDev also works fine (debugging, autocomplete, etc.) I've tried to strace PyDev, but without results. Is there any code in PyDev which might try to resolve hostnames or something like it? ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum.
