I checked the Class.forName and it works for me when adding a jar to the pythonpath... are you sure the path is correct? Another thing, I find it really strange that the 'COM' is added there in uppercase and not in lowercase (are you sure that's correct?) Also, you don't need the newinstance() there (just doing the forName should be enough).
