Unfortunately, it's an eclipse issue, you can't create an untitled text file and save it outside of the workspace (i.e.: under a project). Now, note that you can still work with files not in the workspace, but you have to create them externally and drag it into eclipse, or use the file > open file option (then you'll be able to edit the file and save it properly).
