I found my python 2.7 executable installed with Ubuntu in the /usr/bin folder as expected. But when I try to add a python interpreter to PyDev I navigate to the same folder and that file ( as well as others ) aren't there as viewed by PyDev. Might this have something to do with not being logged in as root? I'm new to Ubuntu, but I thought you couldn't do that in Ubuntu, and you just use sudo. Is there a way to specify a python interpreter to PyDev via the command line? Any other idea would be appreciated too.
