If there is updated news (deadline for call for proposals or similar) we could 
post an updated news item. Please send the request to either 
[email protected] or [email protected] as there are several people who 
may be able to do it. One of us will also update the community workshops page

If you write up a longer announcement (a couple of paragraphs or so), then it 
could be posted on the pycon blogspot.
