Hi Steve! GOSH, I’m impressed you guys are SO ON IT!
I received messages within MINUTES of requesting access…. And you’re both so NICE about it! It was really generous of you to OK more edits if I think helpful. One thing the pages could use is a good scrub of what’s actively maintained and what is not. I think that categorization would help beginners the best. Perhaps a new column to the table? Or is that what the “latest release date” is supposed to handle? I appreciate all you guys do to help people. It’s a selfless kind of thing to do. I’m doing my best to help people with PySimpleGUI. I have no agenda other than to forever change the way GUIs work on Python 😉 It’s PAST TIME for a reworking of what’s available and I think I’ve got just the architecture to do it. If you have 5 minutes sometime and are in need of a quick GUI for a utility, consider giving it a try. It’s pip installable or you can simply copy and paste the SINGLE PySimpleGUI.py file into your project folder. Thanks again for the help and encouragement. It’s this kind of stuff that keeps me going. @mike<mailto:mike_barn...@hotmail.com> From: Steve Holden <st...@holdenweb.com> Sent: Monday, August 20, 2018 3:24 AM To: Mike Barnett <mike_barn...@hotmail.com> Cc: pydotorg-www@python.org Subject: Re: [pydotorg-www] Edits of Python GUI pages Hi Mike, I see Chris has sorted out access for you. I think the whole area of GUI documentation is in need of some love, so if you want to do some curation that would be really useful (though naturally you shouldn't feel obliged to do anything - this is open source). It's confusing for readers the way the material is currently organised, and much of it is now of historical interest only (there will never be another Pyjamas release, for example). If you have the time and the inclination I'm sure you would be helping many readers. regartds Steve Steve Holden On Mon, Aug 20, 2018 at 2:46 AM, Mike Barnett <mike_barn...@hotmail.com<mailto:mike_barn...@hotmail.com>> wrote: Hi I read that I need to request to make edits.
