Hello, Can you open that text file (in python or an hex editor) and see if the data makes any sense?
Talking about backup.... On Linux, I advise using dirvish (some kind of primitive apple like time machine but designed many years ago) backing up nightly to an external usb drive. Regards, Guillaume
