I'd suggest at this point, the pygame project has "too much" of a web
presence. It seems like the current website requires a lot of ongoing
effort, compared to the amount of time people are able to commit to pygame.

I think it might make sense to just cut the pygame website back to the
basics - a brief introduction, a download/install instructions page, and
the definitive documentation and release notes.

Things like a games lists can be hosted elsewhere - indiedb or itch.io both
come to mind. Same thing with tutorials. Or they can profitably be left to
the community.
