Hey folks
Just in time for PyWeek [1], I've just released 1.0alpha2, which you can
grab from http://www.pyglet.org.
Notable new features are:
* Completely revised audio/video module, which gives robust playback of
all your favourite formats such as MP3, Ogg/Vorbis/Theora, WMA, H.264,
DivX, and so on --- on all platforms.
* The mammoth pyglet Programming Guide, included in the source and
documentation distributions, and also viewable online at
http://www.pyglet.org/documentation.html
* Improved consistency in event handling across platforms.
* Many bug fixes; for a complete list see the CHANGELOG at
http://pyglet.googlecode.com/svn/tags/pyglet-1.0alpha2/CHANGELOG
Many thanks to everyone who provided feedback, bug reports and patches.
These are invaluable as I am not in a position to perform much testing
outside of my development environment. If you find something amiss,
please don't hesitate to open an issue at
http://code.google.com/p/pyglet/issues/list, or email me privately if
you prefer.
Cheers
Alex.
[1] http://www.pyweek.org. Technically, for a library to be accepted in
PyWeek it must have been released at least a month before the
competition (which was August 1 for this round). But we all know
pyglet's been around for longer than that, so pfft. Richard can post
his clarifications/warnings/threats here if he so chooses :-)
