GSoC is great -- I've done it twice as a student. I don't think it's worth attempting to submit pyglet as a mentoring organisation, but I'm sure Richard or myself could find time to mentor/co-mentor a pyglet project under the umbrella of Python's allocation (they divvy a lot of theirs out amongst projects that are not in the Python standard library). The wishlist at http://code.google.com/p/pyglet/wiki/ReleaseSchedule is probably a good place to start for pyglet-related project ideas.
