I just wanted to say how refreshing it is to work with pyglet. By not have any external dependencies or special installation requirements, everything just works.
In contrast, I have been trying to test out Panda3D, which is also python-based. Now I realize that it is a bit of an apples-to-oranges comparison since Panda3D has many more features, but compiling it is a friggin' nightmare, at least on a Mac. I get the feeling that, even if I get it working properly, I won't be able to figure out how to distribute a self-contained app. Is the installation complexity the inevitable price of having so many features? I don't know. Regardless, thank you, Alex, for pyglet. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "pyglet-users" group.
