I'm not an expert, but I think 64 bit Linux and 64 bit Mac are apples and oranges. The main issue with Snow Leopard is not so much 64 bit vs. 32 bit per se, but the fact that carbon is only supported from 32-bit apps, and Pyglet uses the carbon api to interface with the OS on Mac. 64-bit SL apps can only use the Cocoa apis.
