I too am very curious what the state of pyglet is.

It sounds like there has been some exciting developments recently -
work on Mac compatibility, an example of pyglet in wxwindows, and even
a python 3 port! - but to someone who does not read this group, it
looks like the project is totally abandoned. There has not been a new
release for almost 16 months, and the project has been stuck at 1.1.x
for over 2 and a half years.

There is a post from Alex dated Aug 15 2009, where he describes what
is new in 1.2. It sounds like he did quite a bit of work, there are
some exciting things there. I have been lurking on this group off and
on for the last year hoping to hear news of a new release.

I would love to help, but I am still a python newbie. If there is
something I could do to help, I would like to know. I really love
pyglet and I credit it with helping me learn the python that I do know
- it has made it really fun to get back into programming again.

In Alex's post I mentioned, he said:

"It may be possible to release just some of the new 1.2 features
incrementally, rather than all of them at once. However the
refactoring of libs and canvas may make this difficult."

I think more excitement and new users would be brought in, if a 1.1.5
was released soon, and new releases were made frequently with "small
incremental improvements".
