For those who care about sound/video decompression: Today I finally found the time to sit down for a few hours and battle with subversion over the ffmpeg external items referenced by AVbin...and won! :-)
The AVbin trunk now has the appropriate old exported versions of ffmpeg and ffmpeg/libswscale (which was an external item to ffmpeg...ick). I also added two README.avbin files in the respective directories explaining the exact commands used to retrieve those particular exports. Next up, I plan to port the OS X Lion patches from my github.com/peaceful/avbin fork, then delete the github fork, and then hopefully look into some of the reported issues regarding avbin. I also want to set up some test cases that exercise avbin, though I'll probably approach that by adding tests to pyglet.
