I have loaded video into pyglet before, mostly as a test, and at the time I
always used H.264, because I am on a Mac, and that is the most widely used
format there.

In general though, I think most people would be happy with the selection of
supported video formats listed in the pyglet manual (plus WebM, I imagine):
