Well, also, figuring out *exactly* what the problems are and looking
into possible fixes for discussion on the list was just as easy as
solving the problems ;).  I'll send out some examples that aren't so
straightforward!

In any case: Chris, the 'testfix' branch is recommended for
incorporation ASAP.
