Our Windows box runs XP SP3 with all security updates installed, just to let you know. Moreover, I've just realised it's only pygrdata_test that fails - both pygrdata2_test and metabase_test work just fine, even with the firewall enabled and 'localhost' instead of '127.0.0.1'.
