To be honest, I am not happy with this solution either - it's just that I
ran out of ideas on how to pass the object referencing all the maps,
tables and so on to all the custom classes without having to create even
more custom classes just for the purpose of adding a single parameter...
If there is an elegant way of handling this, I'll be happy to get rid of
the global variable.
