Hello everyone,
I think it's time we released another point version of Pygr... Right after
the next weekend, I would say. Therefore, let us take a moment to see what
needs to be done before the release. As far as I can tell, the list is as
follows:
- merge the UCSC-Ensembl functionality. Given there has been no feedback
so far, Chris and I think we should just release the code and the tutorial
as they are and only begin enhancing them once comments have arrived. Two
exceptions to this may be adding support for interval queries (a part of
Chris' sql_rekey work) and properly documenting the new "allow non-unique
primary-key values" option of SQLTable;
- for the last few days I have been working on further clean-up of
megatest code, given we've already got the rewritten download megatest in
the master it would make sense to incorporate these changes as well;
- as mentioned on the list in the past, some of my PEP-8 compliance
changes had an unintended side effect of inserting unneeded spaces into
Pygr messages. While it is probably not necessary to try fixing all of
these now, the message we have already noticed (I've spotted a few and I
bet so have others) to be malformed should be fixed;
- any work YOU might have done. If there's anything you would like to
appear in 0.8.2, let us know!
Regards,
