what about going to sourceforge? have you ever considered it? I'm sure you know that they provide a really good platform. very little administration needed on the 'administrator' side. sometimes the server is down for maintainance, but I've not experienced any major problem in the three years I've been keeping this 'ibo' project there. you can also ask them to put a whole cvs tree onto their server, so you don't loose previous history, this is the way I've put it there. a bit confusing because some user names I used to have on my repository do not exist on sourceforge, but otherwise quite convenient. > > connected to this is "on what should I base my own version of the > > library?"... now I'm basing it on the released versions, but what I > > would like is really to follow the development a lot more closely. > > Sounds like you want the HEAD revision. well, if I had cvs access, I think in fact that I would regularly import the HEAD revision and branch from there with my own modifications. I don't think I would want to pollute your repository with my edits, unless, of course, we agree that I'm granted write permissions and that I'm to work on the HEAD revision. inside of my ibo project in sourceforge I'm already providing a modified version of PyGreSql. as soon as the official PyGreSql provides what my library needs, I will remove my version from the files I release.
