Let me up0date my previous inquiry regarding PyGreSQL installation on Windows XP.
I went back to openSSL.org, and question #4 of their FAQ directs people looking for binary installations of SSL to http://www.slproweb.com/products/Win32OpenSSL.html I ran that installer and came up with a new C:\OpenSSL directory which contains a new ssleay32.dll. I put that into .../site-packages. It seems satisfied with that, but then complains that it can't find libeay32.dll. OK, that's also a new thingy in my OpenSSL directory, so I put that also in site-packages/ Again, it seemed to be satisfied with that, but now complains that it can't find libintl3.dll? Gee... what's that? libintl3.dll is not anywhere on my system. A Google link shows up at a forum for a free game known as Battle for Wesnoth. I'm thinking that may very well be a completely different libintl3.dll than the one I need. I have no idea whether I am getting close to a working PyGreSQL, or if there are another dozen or more missing DLL's. I was very impressed with pg several years ago because of how simple it was to install it and get to work with Python and PostgreSQL. Things have changed. It seems to me that something is seriously lacking either in documentation or in the installer itself. Help? -ej _______________________________________________ PyGreSQL mailing list [email protected] http://mailman.vex.net/mailman/listinfo/pygresql
